Unit 109 - Starfish

Property was lovely, comfortable and convenient to the rest of the resort and town. Note to renters: I was there Memorial Weekend so a very busy weekend. The condo faces a primary parking lot so can get a little noisy with loud cars, but I sleep with ear plugs so not a problem. Note to owner: thank you for the lovely condo and would like to suggest supplying kleenex in the unit. Also check the batteries in the tv remotes, was having some trouble with them.

I found this condo to be exactly how it was described and it fit my needs. My husband and I stayed at Green Turtle Bay many times prior to his passing away six years ago and when I decided to visit Kentucky again I knew I wanted to stay there. I just chose not to stay in the same condo that we had always shared.

We stayed in Unit #109, 1BR, 1B, in June 2025. Everything was clean and in working order. The furniture was comfortable and the bed was great. The unit was sufficiently stocked, to include nice insulated tumblers. We highly recommend it.

I loved the décor of the condo, my next stay will be in 109, very nice. One issue was the bed, I think you need a new mattress, two nights of restless sleep.

Easy check in and out. Beautiful condo with private deck overlooking harbor and marina. The condo was equipped with everything you need to cook meals. Very close to downtown Grand Rivers for groceries, restaurants and shops. We had a relaxing weekend and said we are going back every year - same weekend (weekend after Labor Day)

I stayed the weekend with one of my sisters and niece. I had heard about the resort from some friends who have stayed there in the past. I was very impressed with how clean everything is. The office staff is very kind and helpful. Even the other guests were all so friendly. It was quiet and relaxing. We had everything we would need in the kitchen. My sister, niece and I have made this a yearly trip now.

Condo was clean and spacious and updated. Glass fireplace was a plus. Perfect for a long weekend. We were able to visit Badgett Playhouse for two shows plus enjoy Christmas decorations by Patti's. Also enjoyed a meal at T. Lawson's. Sarah who worked at the front desk was very kind and personable.

We ate lunch and supper at Thirsty Turtle. We had breakfast Dockers. The weather was warm enough to rent a golf cart but Green Turtle Bay had no Golf Cart rentals due to seasonal rentals. That was the only disappointment.

This was our second stay at the resort. This would have been our third but was cancelled due to COVID last year. As before the unit was clean and comfortable. Liked that there were games and movies to choose from. My only recommendations is that you have available for guest bottled water, more coffee options with a keurig etc. Thanks

Each spring and fall my Daugther and I meet up just the two of us for special times , to read , quilt etc. TB is a halfway meeting point for us coming from Nashville and St Louis .

The condo was very clean , updated and tastefully decorated . Checkin was a breeze . The shuttle from the resort to Patti’s was really handy and Norm was our driver and so sweet .

They had Purple Martin houses no so bugs at all . The view was good we watched boats come and go during the weekend .

We both wished the fireplace was working and there were no instructions on the tv etc. The DVD player wasn’t working during our stay . We both really wished they would of had the Fox station for news and HGTV .

The bed was great my Daugther said it was the best ever and I used the sofa sleeper and it wasn’t too bad . Linens and towels are upgraded .

The grounds were well kept and very safe to go gor evening walks . If booking during the summer months this condo is located right next to the pool which would be great for kids .

We plan on returning next fall haven’t decided where we are
Going in the spring .


The booking agent was right if you want a good view of the lake book condos 9-12 the others face the marina which is nice also .

The spa and indoor pool is close by at this condo also .

The first burst of pleasure with Green Turtle Bay was the cleanliness. We are both in our 80s and have been knocking around for a long time and I have NEVER been in a cleaner place. The layout and the furnishings of Unit 109 were delightful and we certainly will request that unit if and when we return. We honeymooned in 1969 at that sad (dreadful) KenBar Resort and have not been back since then. What a surprise to find such a nice resort this close to home. Sitting on that porch gave us the feel of Mackinaw Island looking at the lake and the boats. Hope to be back soon.

Spent a couple of days enjoying the beautiful scenery. Very pleased with all aspects of our trip. Our rental unit was clean, well furnished and inviting. Customer service answered all questions. Amenities were great! Highly recommend this as a fun destination!

When we arrived at 12 noon , we informed the front desk we were there and could check in. She said she would call us. We checked back in several times with no avail. We finally got into our room at 4. I realize that was check-in time , but waiting to do that one last was not good management. There were others who were arriving later that could have been accomodated later. Our room should have moved to the front since they knew we were there. Besides that it experience, it was great!

We have been staying at Green Turtle Bay for 9 years now. That should say enough about our experience. We love it there. The rooms are always clean and have most everything you would need to stay for a while. So much to do on GTB resort property. 3 Restaurants and the marina has a nice gift shop,and also is full of about any boating supplies you would need. There is also an indoor pool and spa, plus an outdoor pool. If you decide to venture out from resort it’s close to Patty’s Settlement and the grocery store in Grand Rivers. Easy boat access to fun places to hangout on lake. We will definitely be back for another stay at Green Turtle Bay!

We try to visit GTB every year. I love this unit, it is decorated well and it is comfortable. We always enjoy our stay. Maybe recommend housekeeping to sometimes vacuum between the curtain rod and the wall, just saw some webs and stuff.

We came to KY to visit with our KY family that we hadn’t seen for a while. We loved our condo and the view over the lake. Did a boat rental for 2 days and enjoyed our time on the water. The resort is very well maintained and managed. When we return it will be here.

We stayed here for the CYL Jamboree. It appeared to be newly remodeled, was very clean and furniture appeared fairly new and nice. We will request to stay in this unit again next year! The only issue we had was the bathroom sink didn’t drain very fast.

This was my third time to stay at Green Turtle Bay in 14 months. I experienced the most incredible 5 days during my stay there. Everything in the condo was top notched and it had had everything that we needed. Loved the view from the patio each morning watching the sunrise. It was good that we could walk to the boat dock for a day on the Lake.

Our stay at Green Turtle Bay was a wonderful experience. I look back at it and still remember the peace that we felt there. Looking out at the lake, enjoying the fireplace was beyond words. We were so happy with Unit 109 and even though the weather was cool, I enjoyed the morning walks, sitting in the gazebo and on the banks of the lake. The Thirsty Turtle was a fun spot. Dockers was convenient.

We had a wonderful get away. The condo was very accommodating. They had everything you needed, was nicely decorated and close to the pool and Marina. The staff was very nice and was there if we needed anything. Very peaceful vacation. We went to the restaurants at the resort and enjoyed the meals and staff at all of them.

It is a good location not far from Paducah for shopping, restaurants, etc.
